Victory Packaging Mgr National Accounts Projects in Houston, Texas
Opportunity Summary: National Account Project Managers work with the company’s sales representatives, branch managers, customers, and suppliers to define new business opportunities, establish suppliers, establish daily procedures, and integrate new national accounts into Victory’s operational systems. The National Account Project Manager reports directly to the Director of National Account Operations. Entry level project managers are designated as “Associate” Project Managers and work within close supervision of the director and senior project managers for the first 6-12 months of their employment on solely-owned projects. Senior project managers work under minimum supervision taking full accountability and ownership of their projects. The National Account Project Manager works remotely.
What it takes to succeed:
Minimum ofa Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
Must beeligible to work in the United States and/or Mexico without a Visa.
Minimum ofthree years’ experience in consistently excelling in operational, businessanalysis, or project management roles. Sales experience is not required, butcould prove useful.
Bilingual(Spanish/English) a plus.
Mustpossess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advancedproficiency in Excel and Word.
Ability totravel 50% of the time.
How you will contribute to WestRock:
Managesmooth transition of new national accounts to multiple Victory Packagingbranches.
Manage thecommunication and implementation of customers’ service requirements on alocation by location basis, as per the contractual obligations. This isattained by utilizing project management practices and working in closerelationship between customer sites, local and national level suppliers,national account and local sales and local Victory Packaging branches.
Supportnational sales team during RFP/RFQ process for Fortune 500 companies.
Understandand define new business opportunities in conjunction with national sales team.
Conductaudits for prospective customers and identify opportunities at customer sitesthat fit the Victory Packaging inventory management program.
Closelymonitor service/sales/profitability/inventory and AR levels for existingaccounts and ensure resolution of any service issues.
Assist thelocal branches and sales team in projects aimed at improving service levels.
Toolsutilized included executive summaries and analysis.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Otherduties as assigned.
