Victory Packaging Sr IT Support Specialist in Houston, Texas


The Senior IT Support Specialist’s role is to ensure the proper team guidance and operation of computer systems such that end users can accomplish organizational tasks. This position requires an experienced specialist with outstanding customer service, communication and interpersonal skills that will be a technical lead for our team. Daily routine will require performing technical, analytical, and administrative work in the planning/installation/maintenance of new and existing computer systems, computer peripherals, mobile devices, and network connections.

  • Escalation resource for unresolved or outstanding service desk problems

  • Provide quality service desk support to a large audience ranging up to executive level

  • Manage support work orders with a first-call resolution goal

  • Troubleshoot Windows Operating Systems

  • Perform general administrative tasks on iSeries platform

  • Remediate desktop/server application and hardware issues

  • Setup and troubleshoot mobile devices

  • Configure workstations, accounts and applications for users

  • Setup and configure network printers

  • Keep IT inventory up to date and accurate

  • Effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications

  • Provide first level support for LAN/WAN and remote access

  • Monitor data center infrastructure and escalate events as needed

  • Recommend corrective action and provide root cause analysis for technical issues

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager


  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience with a complex 800+ user environment

  • Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting proficiency

  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong follow through

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

  • Exemplary organization and methodology techniques

  • Proven analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Exceptional customer service orientation

  • Work shift flexibility with on-call and weekend support availability as needed

  • Some travel may be required. No more than 25%.
