The Opportunity:

The Senior System Engineer’s role is to provide expert technical knowledge in a large computer operations environment. This position serves as a complex incident escalation path for teams within IT and also applies significant professional experience to complete assignments focusing on datacenter administration, server/storage design and maintenance, security best-practices/monitoring, network administration, and performance analysis.

• Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting proficiency

How you will impact Victory:

· Serve as the escalation path for complex incidents

· Implement and maintain local and wide area network systems

· Administer physical/virtual servers and associated hardware and applications

· Manage the daily operation of networks/servers/storage by monitoring performance and availability

· Perform regular security monitoring of infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks

· Maintain patch management and security systems to ensure a compliant and secure environment

· Evaluate infrastructure and implement projects to improve availability, security, and capacity

· Administer and ensure the effectiveness of system backup and disaster recovery processes

· Develop procedures and documentation for standardization, reference and training

· Train technical staff on how to use new software and hardware

· Keep IT inventory up to date and accurate

· Recommend corrective action and provide root cause analysis for complex technical issues

· Stay current with industry developments and make innovative recommendations

· Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds

· Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day
