Victory Packaging is seeking a Commercial Truck Driver/Warehouse Operator. As a Commercial Truck Driver, you will drive a company owned vehicle to deliver product to our customers. When you are not making deliveries for our customers, you will work in the warehouse assisting other team members.

Commercial Truck Driver Duties:

  • Operate trucks for the local delivery, pick-up and relocation of product and materials

  • Daily deliveries in our local area, covering distances of less than 50 miles between customer locations

  • Routes driven are considered "short haul" and intrastate (less than 150 air-miles radius)

  • Perform required maintenance of vehicle

  • Maintain required reports, including maintenance and time records

  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pick-up operations

  • Follow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and company safety program

  • Inspect all materials received for order accuracy and quality

  • Communicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns and inventory issues

  • Assist with loading material onto truck

  • Assist with unloading materials returned to Victory

  • Utilize material handling equipment, such as fork lifts and hand trucks

  • Coordinate last minute or unscheduled deliveries to meet customer needs

  • Pull orders or conduct manual inventory checks

Warehouse Operator Duties:

  • Reading customer order documents to accurately determine selection of product and assemble inventory required

  • Moving outgoing product using hand truck, forklift or other material handling equipment, in accordance with all safety policies, to loading dock

  • Receiving, sorting and placing incoming product in appropriate warehouse location

  • Documenting and recording any customer returns as required

  • Recording amounts of material shipped or received in Victory computer system

  • Marking materials and product with Victory inventory codes

  • Notifying Supervisor, General Manager or Office Manager of any product, safety or customer concerns

  • Assisting with general counting of inventory

  • Opening all containers, crates or bales as required to sort and maintain stock

  • Organizing warehouse for cleanliness and safety at all times

  • Sweeping, mopping and perform other routine maintenance

  • Maintaining all safety standards, including wearing protective clothing and eyewear as required

  • Maintaining all quality indicators for operations by verifying product quantity/quality before delivery

  • Keeping warehouse accessible and safe for branch staff and visitors

  • Coordinating of last minute or unscheduled deliveries will be necessary

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid, state driver’s license with no motor vehicle violations within the last 12 months (Class A)

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Must have good abstract

  • Meet and maintain all DOT related requirements

  • Two or more year(s) experience as a truck driver

  • General fluency in English required, verbal and written

  • Basic computer literacy preferred
