Description

The Driver Service Provider position for Victory Packaging, San Antonio Branch is responsible for all phases of assembling materials for customer orders, receiving new and returned product, and making daily deliveries in our local area. Drive a company owned vehicle to deliver our product to our customers during peak periods. The Driver Service Provider is also responsible for maintaining safety and quality standards within the warehouse.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;

  • Valid, state driver’s license with no motor vehicle violations within last 12 months;

  • Commercial Divers License required (Class B);

  • One or more year(s) experience as a truck driver;

  • One or more year (s) experience as a fork lift operator;

  • Meet and maintain all DOT related requirements;

  • General fluency in English required, verbal and written;

  • Basic computer literacy preferred

Essential Job Duties:

  • Read customer order documents to accurately determine selection of product and assemble inventory required;

  • Record amounts of material shipped or received in Victory computer system;

  • Assist with loading materials onto truck;

  • Assist with unloading materials returned to Victory;

  • Utilize material handling equipment, such as fork lifts and hand trucks, in accordance with all safety policies;

  • Pull orders or conduct manual inventory checks;

  • Operate trucks for the local delivery, pick-up and relocation of product and materials

  • Maintain required reports, including maintenance and time records;

  • Follow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety program;

  • Communicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns and inventory issues;

  • Receive, sort and place incoming product in appropriate warehouse location; • Document and record any customer returns as required;

  • Mark materials and product with Victory inventory codes;

  • Assist with general counting of inventory;

  • Notify Supervisor, General Manager or Office Manager of any product, safety or customer concerns;

  • Open all containers, crates or bales as required to sort and maintain stock;

  • Organize warehouse for cleanliness and safety at all times Additional Functions/Job Duties:

  • Perform required maintenance of vehicle;

  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pick-up operations;

  • Assist with loading materials onto truck at branch and/or customer sites

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Utilize all material handling equipment without assistance;

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
