Victory Packaging Local Procurement Specialist in San Antonio, Texas
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Monitor inventory and process daily purchase orders based on recommendations from system settings.
Daily purchase orders include outside vendors and appropriate orders within house Sheet Plant.
Includes booking Production orders.
Includes Sheet orders.
Process nonstock customer orders, as well as direct ship customer orders
Expedite orders as necessary using On-Hand reports to prevent stock-outs.
Work with local customer service, operations, and management to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Handle non-conforming and issues with assistance from local General Manager and local Tooling/Quality Coordinator
Responsible for handling and coordinating the Return of non-Conforming products to Vendors and ensuring proper credits are received by following the defined process.
Schedule LTL shipments and appropriate pick up at vendor locations.
Review new items for set and process accordingly.
Generate custom reports for management regarding inventory levels and aged inventory issues.
Support local Account Payable department with price and quantity variance issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of four years of purchasing experience.
Two years of experience in corrugated manufacturing and or corrugated sheet purchasing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage multiple functions (technical, engineering, general management) within a business.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); and other applications as required.
